The Strength of Your Faith

The Strength of Your Faith

Is the strength of your faith dependent on you being a “Super” Man or “Super” Woman?   Does your personal talent, ability, or emotional makeup increase your faith? Has any “Superhero” of the comics or on TV ever approach God in prayer or point to His word as their guide or worship the Father in heaven?

Trying to be a superhuman to fight off the world’s strongest attraction or tackle life’s greatest challenges is to weaken your relationship with God.             Faith comes from trusting God. He is great enough and big enough to help with every thing, great or small. When Jesus said, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:24), this astounded His disciples. When you admit you are weak, this is when you experience God’s strength (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).  Only when you admit you are sick, will you go to the doctor. Only when you realize you need God’s help will you receive the help you need. Therefore, put your independent spirit aside. Put away that superhero cape. It does not go on with the armor of God. Let God meet your need. Let your faith grow…
